“I strongly protest the baseless and unconstitutional COMELEC resolution that has questioned my capacity to wage a campaign and nullified my candidacy. Despite the fact that I have been adopted by no less than three major parties, climbed up the survey ratings, received thousands of volunteers nationwide, received endorsements from various groups, it is their tainted opinion that I had not proven that I could campaign, much less win in these elections and therefore has concluded that I am no more than a nuisance candidate.”
“It has traditionally been the resort of this agency to negate candidates troublesome to the ruling authorities by disqualifying them and thus preventing the full range of choices that the electorate deserves. As always, I will stand up against this kind of arbitrary and partisan behavior designed to remove the reform-minded and derail our country’s democratic project. This fight is not for me alone. The insidious practice of picking and choosing sympathetic candidates has to end here and now.”
Its sad to hear that a great Brigadier General Danny Lim was DISQUALIFIED to ran as a senator for the coming 2010 Presidential Election. I don’t loose hope i still believe in Philippine Justice. By GOD’s grace and love for the Filipino people, he gave to us General Lim as one disciple of truth & justice. Long Live the General!
