Another Filipino Artist to be proud of to be part of the International Film “Surviving Evil”. The Multi-Awarded Actor and Director Joel Torre will play the role of Joey a Filipino guide that brings the foreign TV crew to the remote island in the Philippines.

Actually the Movie was shoot in South Africa. Instead of bringing all the production staffs and crews in the Philippines they just import Joel Torre to South Africa. Joel Torre is the only Filipino cast in this movie. Other foreign stars include American actor Billy Zane (Titanic), South African comedian Colin Moss (Big Fellas), Louise Barnes, British actress Cristina Cole, Natalie Jackson Mendoza who is actually Filipino-British and other stars from South Africa.

“Surviving Evil” is a must-see horror film that is directed by Terence Daw, according to Joel Torre.

It is a story of a TV documentary crew arrive on a remote island in the Philippines to shoot a jungle survival special. Their back-to the-wild adventure proves to be more dangerous & terrifying than they ever could have imagined when they find themselves fighting for their own survival against hideous, sub-human creatures from Philippine folklore known as the Aswang.

Surviving Evil was shown in South Africa in July 10, 2009. it will be in theater on October 2, 2009 in the UK, and November 6, 2009 in the USA.
