After returning from a trip to the Grand Canyon over the weekend, First Lady Michelle Obama was photographed exiting Sky Harbor International Airport in Phoenix wearing a pair of “short shorts”. When Michelle Obama went sleeveless she drew the disagreement of many who felt she wasn’t clothed as a ‘First Lady’ should be. Now, it’s her shorts. Drawing condemnation from many, the new controversy is whether it is suitable for the ‘First Lady’ to bare her legs.

All I can say whether she’s in Designer Clothes or in shorts, she defy the affluent culture of governance. Will Mrs. Gloria Macapagal Arroyo wear shorts in a hiking too? I don’t think so.

The Act of First Lady Michelle Obama is a statement of how the first family should be sensible to the global crisis. Not a $15,000 dinner at Bobby Van’s steak House and $20,000 meal at Le Cirque. At this time of crisis everyone must collaborate not to spend too much. But Mrs Arroyo did this in time that her people are starving to death. Mrs. Arroyo please have conscience!
